About Dr Chris McCready

Dr Chris McCready is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who prides himself on his ongoing search for new and innovative ways to ensure the best possible outcome for his patients. If conservative treatment is not an option, Dr McCready will meticulously explain to his patients about the procedure, using easy to understand, non-medical terminology. Dr McCready firmly believes that patients should have the tools to make informed decisions about any surgery and therefore puts a lot of emphasis on providing his patients with the knowledge and a clear understanding of the procedures, during consultations or follow up consultations.

Dr McCready specializes in Hip and Knee Replacements, and Arthroscopies and Hip Fractures. His in-room services offered are full and comprehensive consultations, cast application, hydrocortisone injections and Visco Supplements. Aftercare is also of the utmost importance to Dr McCready and therefore post-operative consultations are free of charge for the patient for four months after surgery.

Dr McCready is a member of the South African Orthopaedic Association, South African Arthoplasty Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He also dedicates time as a Consultant Trainer for Stryker Orthopaedics and Hip Fracture Management Techniques, which enables him and others to stay ahead of all new procedures and maintain excellent patient care.

Dr McCready enjoys golf and stays fit with mountain biking.
