A broken wrist can leave you incapable of working and living your life, as we are highly dependent on this joint, and not just for writing or typing. Also known as a Distal Radius Fracture, a broken wrist is most often caused by falling onto an outstretched arm. To repair a broken wrist, the surgeon will assess the injury via X-Ray and then make a small incision near to the broken or fractured bone, bringing it back into alignment with the other bones and inserting metal pins or screws if required.
